our poor ol' daddy

he's been kinda ditzy lately, what wif day huntin' being so busy an' helpin' the other branch of the day huntin' place move (he's gonna end up huntin' 13 days inna row), an' then losin' our nels--his furry own darlin'--so we can't blame him fur what he did last night, but that don't keep us from postin' about it!

he was sweepin' up the scattered litter an' other stuff (ed can't manage to poop inna litter box if it was as big as a kiddie pool) inna laundry room, an' went to dump it all inna wastebasket. too bad the dirty clo'es basket was right next to it. yup. the dirty clo'es is lots dirtier now. *smirk* usually, it's mom who's the ditz. [HEY! don't i get a little respect here?] nope, mom. not when you allus furget to check if the spray bottle is set on "mist" insteada "stun the kitty". you deserves it when you blasts yerself inna head efurry morning!

That's OK, as long as they mean well, and I know that your Daddy and Mommy does. They are human...

That's a lot of days to work in a row. Your Dad deserves a little down time.

I'm so sorry we lost Captain Nels. Mommy has been busy and sick and hasn't helped me check in with my friends, so my condolences are far too belated. You can bet she will be getting the nose bitey for this! Purrs to all of you. The Captain was a great mancat, and I will miss him very much.

On the other paw, my mommy has been about as bad as your daddy. Today she tried to staple papers together with her computer mouse, and didn't understand at first why it wasn't working. Between you and me, I don't think she should be allowed out there on the roads until she feels better, but she refuses to stay home and snuggle with me. Hmph.

It could happen to anyone. And the clothes were dirty anyway, right?

poor daddy! our Lady sometimes carries clothes into the laundry room to put in the dirty clothes basket, but instead she puts them in the trash can. then she's gotta fish 'em out again. they get dirtier that way too.

Well, he tried his best! I think he needs some rest, maybe.

Your poor dad, working that many days! No wonder he's confused; he's been missing naps!

We have been meaning to stop by and offer our condolences on the loss of dear Cap'n Nels. Our daddy and mommy can certainly understand those moments of ditziness.
