mom's SO silly . . .

she thinks that readin' a book can make her thin! she's readin' the pyrates, by george macdonald fraser, an' it were suggested to her by fat eric's mum. you should ALL tell yer beans about it, if they liked our sea voyage saga (an' are not put off by some dodgy language; you kin see some zamples here).

it IS furry funny, judging by her stifled giggles an' snorts an' out-an-out haw-haws. but tell yer beans they shouldn't aspect to drop any poundage while readin'--it just ain't true. she keeps sayin' she's laffin' her butt off, but it looks just as wide as efurr to us!

That sounds like a fun book. Your mum has to roll on the floor at the same time to laugh her butt off.

For my human to laugh her butt off, it would have to be a very LONG book...

*sigh* We love when mom reads, she's easier to lay on den. She's in da middle of one book, almost to da end of one and just started another one. Yeah, she reads more than one at a time, unless it's really, really good den she might just finish off one wifout reading da others.

George MacDonald Fraser is awesome. As is Terry Pratchett.
Hugs and cuddles to all!

We are glad your mum is enjoying it, my mum loves that book. She might have to re-read it when she has worked through her current "to read" pile. She wishes she could get thin by reading too...

You could read a book and loose weight providing that you don't eat while you read.

Something strange. We got notification of your Happy Autumn post on google reader and when we clicked to go to your blog to comment, the post isn't there!
Anyway, happy autumn to you too. We saw Cap'n Nels spirit on the straw bale too.

Perhaps the results will be delayed. Maybe it will fall off in the night.
